Can I run a store under a name that is not a registered company?
Yes. Give the store a name. Nuru records it on its own servers and shows only that name at checkout. Your personal name is not shown to buyers.

My site was refused by a card processor. Will Nuru accept it?
Nuru does not refuse a site because card networks refuse its category, including adult sites. What is illegal where the buyer or the company is located is still not allowed. See Acceptable use.

Does a buyer need a Nuru wallet to pay me?
No. A buyer with Nuru Shillings pays from the wallet. A buyer without them pays with M-Pesa, PayPal, or a card on the same checkout.

Can anyone trace my payments on a public chain?
No. Payments are kept on Nuru’s private chain and are not written to a public ledger. Checkout shows the company name only.

My webhook is not receiving events.
Check that the URL is https and returns a 2xx response quickly. Send a test event from Business tools. Events are payment.paid and payment.refunded.

Someone in a group chat offered to “unlock” my withdrawal for a fee.
That is a scam. Nuru never charges to withdraw and never asks for your password, PIN, or secret key. Report it to supportnorashillings@benuru.com.
